Qualification Format
The Euro 2024 qualification process involves 53 UEFA member countries, excluding the host nation, Germany, which automatically qualifies. These countries are divided into 10 groups, with seven groups containing five teams and the remaining three groups comprising six teams each. The groups play in a round-robin format, and the top two teams from each group secure direct qualification into the Euro 2024 final tournament.
Beyond the group stages, there are additional opportunities for teams to qualify through the UEFA Nations League play-offs. This allows teams that did not automatically qualify another chance to secure their place in the tournament.
